Estella Page Awards Criteria

Young Gifted and Black established in 1988

Criteria:

This recipient MUST BE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18 AND 30, AT THE TIME OF NOMINATION. She is an individual who increasingly shares her talents and her time and gives Christian guidance and leadership to her peers in both the church and community.

Outstanding New Member established in 1985

Criteria:

The recipient of this award is a new member to Fellowship Chapel who has shown Christian dedication. It is bestowed upon that individual who, immediately after affiliating with the Chapel offered and gave her services whenever they were needed. The awardees must have completed all new members classes and been a member no more than two (2) years.

Trailblazer established in 1983

Criteria:

The recipient of this award has given years of sustained, diligent service. She continues to provide consistent support, demonstrates inner spiritual strength, and shares her wisdom and love with fellow Christian sisters, church family, and community. The awardee gives of her talents in an unselfish way and serves as a long-standing Christian role model for the young and mature women of the church.

Distinguished Service established in 1988

Criteria:

The recipient of this award is known in the Detroit community for her contribution in urban and civic affairs as they might relate to church. She promotes programs in both the Chapel and the community with the goal of improving the quality of life.

International Service Award established in 1988

Criteria:

The recipient for this award is known for their international contribution in Africa or anywhere abroad as related to the church. She promotes healing in both the minds and hearts of all children and mothers of Africa in our Fellowship Clinic and the community with the goal of improving the quality of life.

Woman of the Year established in 1974

Criteria:

The recipient of this award has shown consistent dedication and has exhibited excellence in Christian service and leadership in her church. She continues to provide support, demonstrates inner spiritual strength and shares her leadership, her wisdom and love with her Christian sisters, the church family and community. This award is named for Estelle Page, a charter member of the Chapel and one of the founders of Women’s Day.
